Washing line for plastic waste
We supply machines and systems for washing, separation and drying for used, contaminated and
mixed plastics.The lines start off with waste material – often pressed in bales – and end up with
clean, pure and dry regrind or flakes, ready for densifying, re-extrusionor injection moulding.
Our Regulus washing lines have been designed ina particular sequence in order to achieve,
after every process stage, an improved quality ofthe flakes, to save energy and to reduce
the amount of fresh water required for the endproduct. In modular design from simple

Introduction to Washing System Design
Preprocessing
The preprocess is equipped with different schemes according to different waste plastics.
Normally, pretreatment equipment consists of bale breaker, Trommel screen, pre-washer,
sorter, metal detector label remover and some other equipments.
Size Reduction Process
In this Size Reduction Process, Large materials are processed into small pieces.
The Size Reduction Process improves the washing result and makes the final product easy to be packed.
Washing cleaning process
Dust, sand, glue, label, oil and other impurities can be removed highly effective by washing process.
This process combines high speed friction washing, floating washing tank, hot washing,
low-speed friction washer, spraying washer,and some other washing equipments.
Drying process
One of the last stages of the washing process is to dry the materials to a processing-capable
residual moisture content, which can be between 0.5 and 10%.
Centrifugal dewatering machine, pipe dryer and squeezing dryer is used to remove
the moisture in the wet plastic material.
Compacting process
In the case of extreme materials such as stretch film or foam materials, adequate drying
by mechanical and thermal means is not possible without the use of high amounts of energy.
The Regulus plast compactor offers the solution to this problem.
Water treatment process
The dirty water created by the washing process is collected and cleaned and
can be reused into the washing system, which significantly reduces the water consumption.
