     How to treat wastewater from PP/PE PET washing lines?

    In the plastics recycling industry, much attention is focused on the crushing, 

    washing, and pelletizing processes. However, there's an equally important yet 

    often overlooked component: wastewater treatment.

    A PP/PE washing line can generate tons or even hundreds of tons of wastewater daily. 

    Directly discharging this wastewater not only pollutes the environment but also 

    impacts the company's sustainability image. So where does this wastewater 

    come from, and how should it be treated?


    Our machine is a wastewater treatment system designed for the washing line of 

    waste plastic PP, PE, PET products and films. It is very suitable for the wastewater 

    treatment needs of the plastic recycling industry.

    It can effectively remove suspended matter, grease and organic matter in the 

    wastewater. Thereby reducing the concentration of pollutants in the water and 

    ensuring that the wastewater meets the discharge standards.



    💧 Wastewater Sources

    During the washing process, wastewater primarily comes from:


    1️⃣Friction washers and rinsing tanks—contain impurities such as mud, oil,

     and label adhesive residue;


    2️⃣Hot wash sections—contain surfactants, cleaning agents, and organic 

    matter dissolved in plastics;


    3️⃣Rinsing and dewatering sections—contain fine plastic particles and 

    suspended solids.


    This wastewater is typically turbid, alkaline, and has an odor. If left untreated, 

    it can cause serious water pollution.
